Experience
I am starting my PhD program in the fall and looking to earn some extra income through tutoring. I have prior teaching experience, from tutoring in high school to TAing classes in calculus, statistics, and computer science in college. I have spent the last five years as a data scientist at IBM, during which time I have authored three patents on optimization systems. I have also developed and led training workshops for other data scientists at IBM in natural language processing (text analytics) and advanced probabilistic modeling techniques. I am comfortable tutoring at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level. I took 11 AP classes in high school and received 10 fives and one four. My college coursework spans analysis, algebra, topology, probability and statistics, optimization, and machine learning, alongside courses in German literature and language and music theory and performance.
